At Step Tech, we put serious work into every project we take on. Before a single line of code is written or a single design is opened, we sit down with you, align on scope, agree on milestones, and only then do we begin.
This policy exists to be transparent about how payments work not to create friction, but to make sure both sides are protected.
Every project at Step Tech starts with a proper discovery process. We confirm:
Work begins only after you’ve reviewed and approved everything and initiated payment. At that point, we assign dedicated people, tools, and time to your project. That’s what makes these payments commitment-based.
Custom digital work whether it’s a website, mobile app, AI system, automation workflow, branding, or consulting requires real investment of time and resources from day one.
Once your project is underway, payments made cannot be refunded. This covers everything from early-stage deliverables like wireframes and Figma prototypes to full development, testing, integrations, and project management.
Many of our projects are structured in phases or milestones. Each milestone payment covers the work done, time invested, and resources allocated during that phase.
Once a milestone has started, been delivered for review, or received your approval that payment is non-refundable. Your approval at any stage signals that we’re on the right track and should keep going.
Custom projects evolve that’s normal. But additions or changes outside the original agreed scope may require updated pricing, revised timelines, or a new agreement.
If you request something that wasn’t part of the original plan, we’ll flag it upfront with a clear cost and timeline impact before proceeding. No surprises on our end, and we don’t expect any on yours.
Our timelines are built around mutual commitments. If delays happen on your side late feedback, missing content, approval holdups, or communication gaps we’ll adjust the timeline accordingly.
Refunds won’t be issued for delays caused by client-side dependencies. We’ll always communicate openly if things are slowing down and work with you to get back on track.
We get it sometimes things change. If you need to pause or cancel a project after work has started:
Once planning, design, or development has begun, that work can’t be reversed but we’ll make sure you walk away with everything that’s been done.
Unless we’ve agreed to it in writing, your project cost covers the agreed deliverables not lifetime support, hosting management, future upgrades, or ongoing maintenance.
If you need continued support after launch, we offer separate maintenance packages. Just ask.
We’re a development and design agency not a growth or marketing guarantee. We’ll deliver what we agreed to build, and we’ll build it well. But external factors like market conditions, business decisions, and user adoption are beyond our control.
We don’t guarantee revenue, investor interest, user growth, or commercial success. What we do guarantee is quality execution on our end.
If something feels off, please reach out to us first at contact@steptech.us before filing a dispute. Most issues can be resolved quickly with a conversation.
If a chargeback is initiated without prior communication, we reserve the right to respond with full documentation including approved proposals, communication history, design approvals, milestone records, and delivery evidence.
This policy is governed by applicable laws. Any disputes will be resolved through the channels agreed upon in your project agreement.
If anything here is unclear, just ask before we start, Not after.
